The terms, in plain words.
These are the terms for using Propli. They are short on purpose. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you sign up.
Effective 20 September 2026. These terms are a first version and will be reviewed as Propli grows.
Who we are
Propli is not a registered company yet. Until it is, the team behind it provides the service. When the company is registered, these terms will name it and carry on from this version.
Your account
- You must give accurate details and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- New accounts are by invitation while we are on the waitlist.
- Tell us if you think someone else has got into your account.
Your data
- Your records stay yours: your properties, tenants, leases, invoices, buyers and documents.
- You are responsible for having the right to store the personal information of the people you add, and for telling them you hold it.
- We process that information for you so the software works, as described on our privacy page.
- You can ask us to export or delete your data. There is no self-service tool for this yet, so we do it by hand.
How you can use Propli
- Use it to run your own properties, or the properties you are authorised to manage.
- Do not use it to break the law, to send unsolicited messages, or to contact people who have asked you to stop.
- Do not try to get into other accounts, or to overload or interfere with the service.
What Propli is, and is not
Propli is software for keeping records and doing admin. It is not legal, financial, tax or estate agency advice. Leases, invoices, reports and any drafts the software produces are for you to check before you rely on them or send them on. You stay responsible for your decisions and for complying with the law that applies to your business.
The service, prices and changes
- Propli is being built in the open. Some features are marked as coming soon and may change or arrive later.
- Prices are in rand per month. Any price for a plan is shown on our pricing page before you pay.
- If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update this page and its date, and tell you by email where we can.
Where we are limited
We work to keep Propli running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost rent or lost business, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits any right you have under South African consumer law that cannot be limited.
Ending your account
You can stop using Propli at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk, and we will tell you why where we can. South African law governs these terms.
